This past week, the President proclaimed that the time for talking about his Government-controlled health insurance legislation is “over”. “The American people deserve an up or down vote.” Sounded good. Since then, the President has fired up the Presidential 747 time and time again to visit the states and districts of Representatives whose vote he needs to pass this liberty-killing, budget-busting legislation.
I agree with the President. The time for talk should be over.
I think he should start with himself. The time for him to stop lying about the cuts to Medicare is over. The time for him to stop lying about the savings to average Americans on their health insurance is over. The time for him to stop lying about there being no rationing in the future is over. The time for him to stop lying about the decrease in the deficit is over. The time for him to stop strong-arming a co-equal branch of government is over. The time for him to stop bribing Representatives is over.
Now is the time for Tennessee’s 5th District Representative to step to the microphone and declare his intentions on this legislation. He said he would not vote for this bill the last time and did anyway. All we hear now are crickets…..
Let’s see if he still believes that he is smarter than the majority of the people in this District who do not want this legislation. The President has declared his intentions. What are yours?
